June 2015

After years of fundraising and planning for this project it is finally near to an end. The cows will have a bigger barn and bigger paddock to enjoy. The old barn will be used for hay and machinery storage. After years of fundraising and planning for this project it is finally near to an end. Two of our piggies have found loving homes together.

Its that time of year again! Time to bring in the hay for our many animals. We spend £160 a week just on hay and that's through the summer. We are down to our last few bales and now its time to get our trailer out and collect 1000 bales to get us through until winter. Bales cost £2.50 each. Any donations big or small would be a wonderful help and greatly appreciated towards our hay bill. You can donate through our website www.brook-farm.org.uk  send a cheque or set up a standing order for just £3 a month. Thank you. This month the sheep have been sheared. Poor Gatsby and Bruno didn't recognise each other. Molly and Doug and not forgetting Wendy the sheep, have joined the big cows in their paddock. Poor Wendy now thinks she's a cow and lovingly follows Molly everywhere!
